Pelton turbine is a kind of hydraulic machinery which uses special water distributor (effuse) to extract free jet with kinetic energy which rush at runner bailer and make runner rotate to work and transfer hydroenergy to mechanical energy.
Pelton turbine is applicable to water conservancy with high water head and small flow. The maximum water head is close to 1800m, and compared to mixed-flow turbine, it has obvious advantages when water head is more than 200m. Impulse type has Pelton type and inclined type.
