Pillar type composite insulator is mainly used to support fixed busbar in power plant and substation. Or it’s used as insulating pillar/pole of isolating switch. High voltage power plant which is applied of pillar type insulator mostly has very bad ambient conditions, severe pollution and high humidity. Therefore composite insulator has good electrical performance, enough creepage distance and relative minimum arcing distance.
