Needle type porcelain insulator consists of porcelain with umbrella, iron pin inserted to porcelain and iron cap above porcelain. It may bear bend loading directly. Needle type porcelain is simply manufactured and has low cost. It can be installed conveniently. It’s widely used in 6~10KV electric power circuit. But this kind of insulator has low lightning resistance level.
